Echo Park and Nature Play set to commence at Songbird Oxley

Songbird Oxley residents have reason to celebrate as construction kicks off on the eagerly anticipated Echo Park and nature play area located in the heart of the community. This new addition to the project promises a blend of natural beauty and interactive play features designed for all ages.

Named by the community in late 2023, Echo Park will encompass vast open spaces ideal for picnics and gatherings, complete with a lush, turfed area and meticulously landscaped greenery. Adding to the allure, the nature play area will feature an array of engaging attractions including a timber teepee adorned with intricate carvings, a trunk ladder for climbing enthusiasts, a stilt walker for adventurous spirits, a basket swing for the young at heart, and a challenging balance trail.

Highlighting the community-focused design, the play equipment will showcase custom carvings depicting musical notes and instruments, encouraging creativity and exploration among children.

These enhancements to the Songbird public realm aim to promote active lifestyles, foster social interaction, and provide a safe and stimulating environment for leisure and recreation.

Scheduled to be completed in November 2024 weather permitting, Echo Park and the nature play area will no doubt become a popular meeting place for local families.
